HI, I'M NISHANT!
As a self-taught artist, I have tried many different things to learn to draw people. But nothing seemed to work for me. I was not patient enough to sit at life drawing sessions. I quickly got bored of drawing from reference photos. And I did not even want to draw realistically. I have always wanted to draw like my favorite cartoonists, but in a style that was my own, that was effortless and quick.
My journey to finally learn began when I took my sketchbook outdoors and began drawing people at cafes. By a practice of sneaky art, I drew quickly so that no one would notice me, and before my subjects left. And by trying to do this everyday, I learned to chase my curiosity to keep things always interesting.
These ideas are part of my drawing habit, and are the cornerstone of what I teach. Over the past 3 years, I have led online workshops for 1000+ participants, and also understood their stumbling points and what they need from me. I am making these courses to address the short-term as well as long-term needs of people that want to become better observers of their world, and want to develop their own drawing style.
